Small communities can now have the same outstanding water quality usually found only in larger metropolitan water systems with the introduction of the new, compact, HF-4 hollow fiber ultrafiltration (UF) water system from Wilmington, Mass.-based Koch Membrane Systems Inc. The system removes pathogens and turbidity from surface water. The UF membranes, having a nominal molecular weight cut-off (MWCO) of 100,000, are capable of 4-log removal (or better) for giardia, Crypto-sporidium and viruses.
