A new application note from Tekmar-Dohrmann, of Cincinnati, demonstrates the full capacity of high temperature combustion (HTC) total nitrogen analysis for wastewater, seawater and other low-level nitrogen applications. This includes the benefits of total nitrogen by the HTC method over the current standard total Kjeldahl nitrogen (TKN) method. It also provides sample recovery studies for various nitrogen compounds and direct comparisons to TKN recoveries for wastewater proficiency standards.
