Blue-White Industries, of Huntington Beach, Calif., has developed a new, breakthrough technology for its FLEX- FLO® peristaltic style chemical metering injector pumps. The TFD (tube failure detection) system is exclusive with a patent pending. The system detects a wide range of chemicals (i.e., chlorine, acids, soaps). If a non-compatible chemical is detected in the pump head, the pump will shut off and energize a relay, permitting communications with equipment such as an alarm or a SCADA system.
