Flowserve Corp. announces the release of Flowserve StarTalk XP for Windows®, a software package that directs the revolutionary Flowserve StarPac®. The world’s first and only industrial valve that both controls and measures flow, StarPac is widely used in the oil and gas, refining, chemical, steel and industrial gas markets. StarPac uses sensors mounted on the valve body to measure flow, eliminating the need for downstream metering piping. It accurately measures fluid flow rate over the entire operating range of the valve opening. The software features expanded help files and enhanced signature analysis. It also features graphical control that enables proper valve response to process errors; a tuning screen to view and configure controller variables; alarm explanations; as well as security features and a sophisticated virtual register support.
