The Scalewatcher Electronic Scale Control System, manufactured and marketed throughout North America by Oxford, Pa.-based Scalewatcher North America Inc., has resolved the problem of scale build-up on laundry in Barceloneta on the island of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Since the unit was installed in August 2000, there have been no problems with scale build-up. The system creates an induced electric field inside the pipe whereby the crystal growth of the scaling in the water is promoted.
