Markel Corp., of Plymouth Meeting, Pa., has developed a precision method for the processing of polytetra-fluoroethylene (PTFE) that has resulted in the manufacture of microporous PTFE tubing with a wide range of applications. One of these dynamic new products is designed to extract gases from liquids or to inject gases into liquids. It’s produced by continuously stretching paste-extruded PTFE resin to create a structure of nodes and pores.
