A small, portable, 1.4 horsepower pump ideal for dewatering ditches, manholes, small construction sites, small ponds, and basements has been introduced by ITT Flygt Corp., of Trumbull, Conn. Designated as model Ready 12, the pump—weighing only 25 pounds and with a diameter of 7-¼??—can be carried easily to any site. Despite its small size, the unit reaches 65 feet of head and pumps up to 85 gpm. With a 2″ NPSM discharge, the pump employs an abrasion-resistant thermoplastic polyurethane impeller.
