The methodology of Carol Stream, Ill.-based World Environmental Technologies Inc.’s polymer test kit centers on a charge neutralization process, which causes the polymer(s) in the water to coagulate, resulting in turbidity. The resultant turbidity corresponds to a relative amount of polymer in the water. The turbidity is expressed as Polymer Turbidity Units (PTUs). The test uses an inexpensive Comparator Block where the reacted test sample is compared to 7 PTU standards.
