Performance Water Products announces the Performax-fe, the first passive iron oxidation/removal system with the new SXT controller. The system utilizes an air injection system to remove iron (ferrous or clear water), manganese and sulfur. No chemicals or air compressors are required, reducing acquisition and maintenance costs. During system regeneration, air is drawn in through an injector in the brine port, creating an air pocket. As untreated water passes through the air pocket, contaminants are oxidized into physical particles, trapping them in the filter media bed. Regeneration cycles refresh the bed and replace the oxygen head after the air pocket is depleted and particles are filtered out, allowing the process to begin again.
