The FlowCAM particle analysis system from Fluid Imaging Technologies, Inc. permits different particles within a heterogeneous sample to be detected, analyzed, document and counted separately with accuracy and reliability. While many analysis tools count different particles sharing the same equivalent spherical diameter (ESD) as the same particle type, the FlowCAM takes high-resolution digital images of every particle in the sample, enabling lab technicians, process engineers, water and wastewater engineers and others to mathematically and visually discern differences among each individual particle-even when they share the same ESD.
