Palintest introduces the Photometer 7100 as a replacement for its 5000 model. It enables advanced instrumental analysis of an extensive range of water tests, is highly portable and fully waterproof, floats and is extremely rugged in design. The unit uses light to measure color changes in water samples treated with a reagent and is accurate to 0.005 at 0.3 absorbency units (au); resolution is 0.001 au. It features automatic light wavelength selection and easy-to-navigate menus; the software also remembers the most recent tests. The photometer is available in a standard kit and an engineers kit designed specifically for mobile water service engineers.
