Industrial grade 10 x 28 membrane contactors from Celgard, of Charlotte, N.C., lower overall costs of carbon dioxide and oxygen removal from liquids. The contactor was introduced last year. Since then, additional application testing has been completed that increases the flow capacity of these contactors. This is a benefit because one contactor can now process 210 gpm in one unit instead of 175 gpm. Higher flow capacity means that fewer contactors are now needed to treat the same water stream.
