KROHNE, Inc. announces six new 24- and 80-GHz transmitters for its OPTIWAVE series of frequency-modulated, continuous-wave (FMCW), radar-level transmitters. The transmitters are designed for liquid and solid applications in a wide range of industries. All new devices feature 2-wire 4-20mA HART 7 communication and come with an extensive choice of process connections, starting from 0.75-inch (1.9-cm). They feature a large, backlit LCD display with four-button keypad, a quick setup assistant for easy commissioning and free PACTware™ device-type manager (DTM) with full functionality. Hazardous area approvals are available, while others, including safety integrity level (SIL), are in process. The OPTIWAVE 3500 with an 80-GHz FMCW radar is aimed at hygienic applications in the food, beverage and pharmaceutical markets.
