For the past four years, Aquateknologies USA Inc., of Hoffman Estates, Ill., has boasted the smallest and most efficient water filter in the world. Called Filter-In-The-Cap, the product is also produced as an OEM under the name Gatekeeper and sold to the outdoor market. In August 1999, Gatekeeper won two awards at the Summer Outdoor Retailer Show in Salt Lake City.
