International Products Corporation has added two incidental food lubricants to its line of P-80® Temporary Rubber Lubricants. P-80 Emulsion IFC and P-80 THIX IFC meet FDA regulation 21 CFR 178.3570, which controls lubricants used in incidental food contact applications, such as appliance or pump assembly. A thin film of P-80 will provide temporary lubrication and reduce the force needed to install a tight-fitting rubber part. Typical applications include assembly operations involving O-rings, grommets, seals and other items. Once it dries, the normal non-slip condition of the rubber returns and it will not become slippery again, even in the presence of moisture.
