Ahlstrom introduces its nanoalumina fiber technology Disruptor” PAC for water filtration that efficiently removes a large variety of contaminants, including viruses, bacteria and humic compounds. Disruptor” PAC contains small-sized (eight microns) powdered activated carbon. Retention is accomplished through electrokinetic adsorption by nanoalumina fibers, making nearly all pores of the carbon available for adsorption of chlorine, iodine, volatile organic compounds, disinfection byproducts and natural organic material. Designed for used in beverage manufacture, pharmaceutical make-up water, POU/POE filters, boiler and chiller water and RO membrane prefiltration.
