Everpure of Westmont, Ill., has announced the development of a new drinking water filtration system that removes methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE). It’s a common gasoline additive that has been found to leak into groundwater supplies and contaminates drinking water. With this in mind, the H-1200 filter directly addresses MTBE and also provides ultimate contaminant removal of lead, Volatile Organic Chemicals(VOCs), Trihalomethanes, and over 40 other VOCs and suspected carcinogens.
