IDEXX Laboratories, of Westbrook, Maine, introduces the Quanti-Cult®—an easy, rapid quality control method for presence/absence coliform and E. coli testing. The kit comprises three E. coli vials, three Klebsiella pneumoniae vials and three Pseudomonas aeruginosa vials. Each contains pre-quantified low counts (1-50 cfu) of viable bacteria, as recommended by the USEPA, to validate the performance of Colilert®, Colilert-18®, Colisure® and other E. coli/coliform methods.
