The patented pressurized ozone contacting system from GDT Water Process Corp., of Phoenix, is a critical part of the 1,000 gpm advanced oxidation (AOP) pilot study conducted jointly by EnvirOzone Technologies Inc. (EOT) and the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) in Oakland, Calif., on secondary treated wastewater effluent discharged to the San Francisco Bay. The study will determine AOP effect on wastewater disinfection, organic oxidation and chlorinated disinfection by-product reduction.
