CHEMetrics Inc., of Calverton, Va., introduces a cost effective new line of reagent vials for performing chemical oxygen demand (COD) analysis. COD is a measure of the oxygen-consuming capacity of organic contamination present in wastewater. To regulate wastewater effluents and assess treatment plant performance, municipal and industrial wastewater facilities monitor COD. In January, the company offered 150-count packs for both the 0-150 and 0-1,500 ppm ranges and 100-count packs for the 0-15,000 range vials.
