Flomatic Corporation introduces its Model 745ASC Rubber Flapper Swing Check valve with adjustable spring closure (ASC). This valve has an epoxy-coated, ductile iron body with an encapsulated valve disc that is custom-molded Buna-N and comes in 3- to 14-inch (7.62- to 35.5-cm) sizes. The model is designed for high head, long pipe lines, multiple pump and surge tank installations. The spring-assisted closure is designed to provide rapid closure through a short stroke of 45° and use of the field adjustable spring to avoid slamming, while at the same time allowing the valve disc to be stabilized under normal flow conditions. The ASC device is field adjustable and can be replaced without removing the valve.
