Bray Controls announces that they have designed a blow-out proof stem for Bray High Performance Series 40 Butterfly Valves. The new stem will become the standard on all Series 40 valves, replacing the old stem design. With the new design, the Series 40 is in compliance with the latest edition of the API 609 code for high performance butterfly valves. Available in both wafer and lug style bodies, these high-performance valves offer bi-directional sealing to full ANSI Class 150, 300 or 600 ratings. Series 40 fire-safe models are made of either carbon steel or stainless steel for corrosion resistance and a high-strength 17-4 stainless steel valve stem is standard.
