Milwaukee-based A.O. Smith is introducing an innovative bonding lug design on its full line of pool and spa motors. The patent-pending bonding lug makes it easier for service technicians to enhance pool and spa safety for customers by simplifying the connection of the bonding wire to the motor. A service technician can now connect the bonding wire to the motor by twisting a screw. Using a ¼” nut driver or standard straight-edge screwdriver, the technician loosens the lug, drops in the bonding wire and tightens.
