Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Alco Chemical presents its new literature, which describes a new USEPA-registered, non-oxidizing, dithiocarbamate biocide for water treatment. The 24-page brochure notes that experience has shown that this special biocide effectively controls planktonic and sessile microorganisms in cooling towers and air washers. The brochure also states that, in paper mills, AQUATREAT biocides serve most cost-effectively for controlling slime-forming bacteria and fungi in virgin and recycle mills.
