AMTA is addressing pressing issues in the membrane treatment field. One notable concern is the broad definition of PFAS, which includes PVDF, a commonly used material in MF/UF treatment systems. The workshop will focus on this topic, allowing for attendee discussions and feedback to support AMTA’s industry advocacy. The program will also cover sustainable manufacturing of membrane materials, chlorine-tolerant RO membrane commercialization, microplastic removal, membrane residual challenges, and membrane innovations from the food and beverage industry.

Attendees can visit the City of Ithaca Water Treatment Plant, a modernized microfiltration facility.

The area also offers wineries, scenic gorges, hiking trails, and breathtaking waterfalls for those interested in an extended stay.
