AWWA CEO to be Featured WQA Speaker

The Water Quality Association (WQA) announced that David LaFrance, CEO of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) will be a featured speaker at the Opening General Session of the 2018 WQA Convention & Exposition in Denver, CO on March 27, 2018. AWWA is the largest organization of water professionals in the world. Its more than 51,000 members include more than 4,100 utilities throughout North America and beyond.

The WQA Convention takes place over four days (March 26–29) at the Colorado Convention Center. The Opening General Session also features keynote speaker Ross Shafer, six-time Emmy-winning comedian and best-selling author of Nobody Moved Your Cheese.

For more than 40 years, the WQA Convention has been the signature event of the water treatment industry, connecting dealers, manufacturers and consultants with the latest in trends, research, education and networking opportunities. In 2017, 56 countries were represented among the more than 3,000 attendees of the WQA Convention & Exposition in Orlando.

Education tracks include Business Operations with topics such as recruitment and retention, empowering employees for greater engagement and managing online reviews. A full day Business Operations Boot Camp takes place on March 25th, the day before the Convention opens. A separate registration is required to attend the Boot Camp (learn more at wqa.org/bootcamp).

Other sessions include commercial applications designed to help attendees understand the sub-sectors of the commercial water treatment market, residential applications, water treatment technologies and regulatory changes affecting the industry. Attendees and exhibitors can register for the event at wqa.org/convention. Sponsorship opportunities are available. WQA members receive a 50 percent discount on Program and Buyer’s Guide advertising.
