The Department of the Interior announced an $84.7 million investment from President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to help 36 communities throughout the West to help prepare for and respond to the challenges of drought.
Projects selected for this investment will help bring clean, reliable drinking water to communities across the West through innovative drought resilience efforts including groundwater storage, rainwater harvest, aquifer recharge, water use, ion exchange treatment, and other methods used for stretching existing water supplies. Projects selected for funding are located in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Washington.
