The Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH) is hosting a webinar on December 14 from 1 pm to 2 pm EST on the significant changes introduced to the 2020 National Model Codes. The 2020 editions address different operations and occupancies in buildings, and energy use. A brief problem description will explain the rationale for the changes and the potential impacts of the proposed solutions. Some of the subjects covered in the presentation will include encapsulated mass timber construction (EMTC), large farm buildings, home-type care occupancy, openable windows in residential occupancies, energy efficiency tiers for all buildings, and accessibility. Vicki Komisar, Technical Advisor at Codes Canada, will be the speaker for this event. For more information and to register, visit https://www.ciph.com/events/EventDetails.aspx?id=1688479&group=.
