Committee Members Needed for Development of Standards for the U.S. and Canada
The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) is searching for committee members for the development of American National Standards and National Standards of Canada. For this committee, IAPMO is seeking out volunteers from a variety of interest categories to serve on these standards committee consensus bodies:
- Building Standards Committee: enforcing authorities, installer/maintainer, and user, including Canadian representation in the same categories.
- Hydronics Standards Committee: enforcing authorities, installer/maintainer, and research/standards/testing laboratory, including Canadian representation in the same categories.
- ISO 30500 National Adoption Committee: consumer and installer/maintainer, including Canadian representation.
- Plumbing Standards Committee: consumer, enforcing authorities, and user, including Canadian representation.
- Solar Standards Committee: consumer, research/standards/testing laboratory, and user, including Canadian representation.
Water Efficiency and Sanitation Standard Report on Proposals Now Available Online
IAPMO has released the 2022 Report on Proposals (ROP) for the 2023 edition of the Water Efficiency and Sanitation Standard. This edition will not be available in print format, but can be accessed here, https://www.iapmo.org/media/30371/2022-westand-report-on-proposals.pdf. The Call for Comments on this document will begin on October 7. Once all suggested code amendments, additions, and deletions are published, the ROP will be available for public review. The deadline to submit comments is January 13, 2023.
IAPMO Seeks WE•Stand Direct Potable Water Reuse Task Group Members
IAPMO is requesting applicants to serve as technical experts on the Water Efficiency and Sanitation Standard Direct Potable Water Reuse Task Group. The Direct Potable Water Reuse Task Group will review all proposals that pertain to onsite wastewater treatment for direct potable water reuse as explained in the 2022 WE•Stand Report on Proposals and to develop public comments for technical committee consideration. Members of the task group will participate through conference calls or web meetings, provide their perspectives on the code, and assist in drafting recommendations for action by the WE•Stand Technical Committee.
