The Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services has approved IAPMO’s Water Demand Calculator (WDC) as an alternative method to be used in estimating the demand load for a building’s water supply and principle branches. The WDC works to predict the peak water demand in single-family homes as well as apartment buildings; this allows for a reduction in the carbon footprint of the structure and helps consumers save on their water and water heating-related bills for the plumbing system’s lifetime.
