IAPMO Supports Passage of Federal Infrastructure Legislation
IAPMO® enthusiastically applauds the US House of Representatives for passing the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021, bipartisan legislation that makes vital investments in the nation’s infrastructure, including funding for water and sanitation, roads and bridges, rail, transit, ports, airports, electric grid, broadband and other priorities. The legislation provides $944 billion in total spending over five years, totaling $550 billion in new spending, and represents a significant infusion of federal funding for US public works across numerous industries. IAPMO Solicits Proposals for 2024 USHGC, USPSHTC
IAPMO is calling for formal code proposals toward the development of the 2024 editions of these American National Standard designated model codes. The code proposal form, as well as proposal instructions and background on IAPMO’s ANSI-accredited consensus process, can be found here. All proposals recommending new text, revised text, or the deletion of text must be written in legislative format and clearly state the reason behind the recommendation. No proposals will be accepted after the 5 p.m. PST deadline on March 4, 2022. Click here to read the full press release. 2020 WE•Stand Published as American National Standard
IAPMO has published the 2020 Water Efficiency and Sanitation Standard (WE•Stand) as an American National Standard. Developed by IAPMO and first published in 2017, WE•Stand is the first-ever standard that focuses solely on achieving safe and efficient water use in residential and non-residential buildings.
