Removal of Bulk Contaminants: How Ion Exchange Resins Really Work (Part 2)
The next ResinTech Online Educational Series (ROES) webinar will be offered at two convenient times to better accommodate attendees from around the world. Register for Wednesday, March 17 at 10 a.m. or register for 2 p.m. Pick the webinar that fits your schedule. All times are New York Standard.
Webinar Overview
Bulk contaminants interact with ion exchange resins somewhat differently than trace contaminants. Changes in ionic composition of both water and resins alter the way the resin interacts with the bulk contaminant. In this introductory webinar, ResinTech Technical Director, Peter Meyers, will discuss a few more basic concepts about water chemistry and ion exchange theory, then scratch the surface of three of the more common bulk contaminants, hardness, alkalinity and nitrate. Deeper dives into deionization and softening will be the subject of a future webinars.
