PWQA has announced the schedule for its 2019 Legislative Days in Sacramento, CA, May 20-22. Legislative Days is your opportunity to meet your legislators in the company of fellow PWQA members and the association’s lobbyists.
PWQA introduces itself as a body experts in the water improvement industry and leaves each representative with PWQA literature. If or when anything affecting the industry comes across their desk, they can call PWQA for further explanation of the effects their decisions will have on the industry.
The purpose of this annual event is to build strength and establish PWQA and its members as a trusted reliable source of information. With term limits, the association finds itself continually introducing themselves anew because of the new legislators in office. Each year, PWQA must educate elected officials about our industry.
By attending Legislative Days, members will build on past experience and become more confident in the message we are committed to make. PWQA will provide training, including history of past legislation, so that members are prepared to introduce themselves as experts in the water improvement industry. To register for this event, please email Ron Ruef ([email protected]) with both home and work addresses, so a meeting with your legislators can be requested.
Residence Inn Sacramento (Capital Park 1121 15th Street) is one block from the Capital and PWQA has secured a room block with a special rate of $189 per night single/double occupancy suites.
