The 2019 Membrane Technology Conference and Exposition was held in New Orleans, LA and the Awards Luncheon took place on February 27. A large number of awards were presented and announced. Click here for the full list.
In addition to the traditional awards, several poster and paper awards were also announced:
MTC19 Best Paper Award: James Vickers, PE, Separation Processes, Inc., was presented with this year’s Best Paper Award for his paper presentation on Overcoming Compliance Challenges for RO Pathogen Removal Using Conductivity Profiles.
MTC19 Best Poster Award: Ruel Conn, PE, J-U-B Engineers, Inc., was presented with this year’s Best Poster Award for his poster presentation on City of Post Falls, Idaho – Membrane Tertiary Treatment Pilot Study for Low-Phosphorus and Reuse.
MTC19 Student Best Paper Awards included:
- Quantum Wei, MIT, was presented with this year’s Student Best Paper Award for his paper presentation on Batch Reverse Osmosis: Experimental Results, Model Validation, and Design Implications.
- Carlyn Higgins, MS, E.I., University of Central Florida, was presented with this year’s Student Best Paper Award for her paper presentation on Studying the Mass Transfer of 1,4-Dioxane in a Nanofiltration and Reverse Osmosis Membrane Process.
MTC19 Student Best Poster Award: Hannah Ray, Arizona State University, was presented with this year’s Student Best Poster Award for her poster presentation on Urea Recovery from Fresh Urine by Forward Osmosis and Membrane Distillation.
