Microfilter is the first in the world to obtain NSF 42 certification for a nitrosamine-free NBR O-ring with the largest surface area of 8.2 in2/L. Nitrosamine is a carcinogenic substance that is formed by the reaction of amino and nitrogen compounds that are broken down from additives used to increase the elasticity of rubber products. The NSF 42 certification that Microfilter has obtained is a component certification that requires the product to pass stringent material stability tests for eight nitrosamine impurities, which are carcinogenic substances.
