Myron’s son, Brock, serves as LUMINOR’s president and general manager. Brock has been with the company since its early days and brings a deep understanding of all the products LUMINOR has to offer, as well as the markets to sell them in. Having graduated from Carleton University with a bachelor of commerce degree specializing in marketing, Brock was inspired to join the team because he strongly believes in the need for LUMINOR products and the benefits of clean, safe water.
With environmental stresses on our world’s ecosystem continuing to grow by global expansion, water supplies continue to decline. In response, LUMINOR is committed to providing environmentally friendly solutions to aid its global customer base in its quest for safe, clean water. Using noninvasive technologies such as UV light, LUMINOR is ready to address water quality issues with safe, easy-to-use, and value-driven products for home, industry, and small municipal applications. “Illuminating technologies for life” serves as LUMINOR’s motto, but it is also the driving force behind its employees’ quest to protect the world’s water resources for future generations.
The LUMINOR Promise
LUMINOR designs, engineers, and assembles all its products in Canada and offers product solutions for whole home, light commercial, industrial, and municipal applications, providing a one-stop shop for all disinfection needs. LUMINOR sells its products internationally, serving more than 55 countries.
With its dedication to serving the water industry, LUMINOR’s promise to the customers is clear:
- To manufacture a reliable product on which customers can stake their business reputation
- To listen to its customers
- To return email or voice mail inquiries within 24 hours
- To deliver a cost-effective UV solution
- To support its distribution with valued sales leads
- To stay on the leading edge of technological developments
- To be involved in its industry and help shape the laws that affect its business
- To be an environmentally aware corporate citizen

- To turn customer-service issues around within 48 hours
Serving its customers will stay at the top of LUMINOR’s priorities now and in the future. Brock said, “As LUMINOR looks to the future, our plan is to continue to support our customers and dealers around the world and to continue introducing new and innovative products in the UV space.”
Even as LUMINOR continues to grow at a rapid pace, its efforts remain focused on expanding its distribution network while maintaining the personal touch it is known for. This year, according to Brock, LUMINOR plans to grow its team, particularly in customer service and sales.
LUMINOR’s UV Technologies
UV water treatment is a chemical-free process, meaning users do not have to handle potentially dangerous chemicals, and it does not produce any chemical disinfection byproducts. In addition, UV disinfection is an almost-immediate process, eliminating the need for contact tanks that are used in chlorine disinfection.
LUMINOR’s UV disinfection technologies include a customizable digital screen that includes the dealer’s contact information; lamp key technology that ensures proper maintenance and performance of systems; monitored and unmonitored operation; alarm display in English and 15 other languages, with QR codes to resources on how to address problems; and best-in-class service and performance with the best warranty available in the UV industry.
LUMINOR’s New Products and Wins
LUMINOR is excited to announce the upcoming launch of a new line of commercial systems that have been trademarked as Everest. These systems are designed to service high-flow applications up to 700 gallons per minute. The Everest line will be joining LUMINOR’s existing product lines Blackcomb, Rainier, K2, and Glacier UV LED.
LUMINOR is also proud to announce its back-to-back wins in the Deloitte Fast 500 and Fast 50 programs. In November 2022, LUMINOR was named among the 2022 Technology Fast 500 and was recognized as a winner in the clean technology category of the 2022 Technology Fast 50 program. This award recognizes Canada’s top clean innovators who provided processes, goods, or services that reduce environmental impact. Brock said, “Here at LUMINOR, we are committed to creating a product we believe in and are happy to be recognized for providing this environmentally friendly solution to the global water-supply crisis.
“I believe the water treatment industry is going through a major shift,” he continued. Now more than ever, the public is concerned with its water supply, even municipally treated water. Average homeowners are educated on the pros and cons of each treatment methodology and are demanding quality products. Brock believes “this presents an opportunity for those providing quality products and services.”
“Ultimately,” he said, “I see the industry growing quite a bit in the next few years.”
LUMINOR will continue supporting its customers in 2023 by providing UV disinfection solutions that are economically friendly and remaining true to its motto of “illuminating technologies for life” to protect the world’s water resources for all generations
