The new Closed Loop Toad™ from Cortec is a blend of vapor-phase corrosion-inhibiting powders packaged in a polyvinyl-alcohol water-soluble bag. This prevents corrosion of metals in three phases: below the surface of water, above the surface of water, and at the air-water interface. When the Closed Loop Toad™ is added to a closed-loop systems filled with water, it dissolves and should be allowed to circulate throughout the system for at least 12-24 hours. Afterwards, the system can either be drained for a dry layup or left full for a wet layup or continued operation. The Closed Loop Toad™ allows for a safe and easy hands-off application and allows for an easy return to service.
