According to food and drinks consultancy, Zenith Global, bottled water consumption is set to overtake all other soft drinks worldwide this year. Consumption reached 418 billion liters (110 billion gallons) in 2017, up 92 percent since 2007. All other soft drinks totaled 438 billion liters (115.7 billion gallons) in 2017. In addition, global sales of premium bottled water reached $16.5 billion (USD) at consumer prices in 2017, 48 percent more than five years ago, according to a new Zenith Global report. Consumption volume also rose strongly by 26 percent over the five years to 11.2 billion liters.
