US EPA will bring together stakeholders to characterize risks to public health and determine monitoring and treatment techniques at the National Leadership Summit to take action on perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). PFAS, such as PFOA and PFOS, are chemicals not found in the natural environment but used in many products because of stain-resistant, waterproof and non-stick properties. WQA Government Affairs Director David Loveday and Technical Affairs Director Eric Yeggy were asked to take part at the May 22-23 summit in Washington, DC.
