The Water and Wastewater Equipment Manufacturers Association (WWEMA) announced the election of new officers and directors during its 109th Annual Meeting in November. The 2018 WWEMA Executive Committee comprises Chairman Thacher Worthen; Chairman-Elect John Dyson; Vice Chairman Michael Dimitriou; Treasurer Vince Baldasare and Immediate Past-Chairman Mark Turpin. Three members were newly elected to the 2018 Board: Jay Conroy; Diane Meyer and George Vorsheim. In addition, the membership re-elected Andrew Fraher, TR Gregg and Nathen Myers to serve second terms on the board. Dimitriou was also named the recipient of the 2017 James C. Morriss Member Achievement Award. He is a longtime member of WWEMA and has served on its Board of Directors since 2013. Dimitriou also represents WWEMA to many outside organizations. Additionally, Erika Addison, a civil and environmental engineering student at the University of Rhode Island, received the 2017 WWEMA/W&WD Scholarship Award. She is involved with the American Society of Civil Engineers, as well as Chi Epsilon and is an intern at Aerzen USA, a WWEMA member company, where her father (Mark Addison) is an engineering manager.
