Clack Corporation is very sad to announce that Bob Clack passed away at age 55 on September 3 in Manitowish Waters, WI, while on vacation with his family. He started work at Clack Corporation in 1978, while still in high school, then graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in electrical engineering. During his early years at Clack, Bob had the opportunity to work with both his father, Bill and his brother, Rich. He was engaged in all aspects of the company and managed Clack’s Arkansas location. Bob was extremely creative and his innovations were responsible for many of the new products that were developed at Clack during his tenure. He was awarded multiple patents for his product designs. Bob, a very quiet and private person, was also very passionate when it came to Clack Corporation. He was always one to challenge the design, material and performance of Clack products and to offer alternative ways of looking at how a part was built or tested. It was that ability that helped to enhance the quality of many final products. Bob’s input and perspective will be greatly missed. We will continue to ask ourselves: “What would Bob say?” when evaluating our product lines. Family was always Bob’s number-one priority; nothing made him happier than spending time with his wife Jean and his kids, Calvin and Megan. He loved flying, skiing and sharing a beer with his friends and family. Everyone felt welcome in Bob’s presence and he would always go the extra mile for a good laugh. He will truly be missed by his family and friends at Clack Corporation, as well as the entire water quality community.
