The National Ground Water Association congratulated recipients of the 2017 NGWA Awards of Excellence, Sectional Awards, Outstanding Groundwater Project Awards and Fellow Designation, which will be presented this December during Groundwater Week in Nashville, TN. John Schnieders, PhD, Chief Chemist with Water Systems Engineering Inc., will be receiving NGWA’s top honor, the Ross L. Oliver Award. In addition, Schnieders will receive a Life Member Award. Other NGWA 2017 award recipients are: Eileen Poeter, PhD, PE, Professor Emeritus, Colorado School of Mines and consultant with Poeter Engineering, M. King Hubbert Award, Life Member Award and NGWA Fellow Designation; Richard Thron, MGWC, President, Mantyla Well Drilling, Robert Storm Intersectional Cooperation Award; Thomas M. Christy, PE, VP, Geoprobe Systems, Technology Award; Daniel T. Meyer, MGWC and James Paulhus, Life Member Awards; Bernt Lorentz, CEO, Lorentz, Equipment Design Award; Alan Eades, CWD/PI, CVCLD, Eades Drilling & Pump Service, Standard Bearer Award; Hendrik Haitjema, PhD, President, Haitjema Consulting, Inc., retired professor, Indiana University and Franklin W. Schwartz, PhD, Professor and Ohio Eminent Scholar, Ohio State University, Keith E. Anderson Award; the late Suthan S. Suthersan, PhD, PE, Arcadis, John Hem Award; Moyland ‘Mo’ Rainey, VP, Simmons Mfg.
