De Nora announced that it will soon install a ClorTec® sodium hypochlorite generator train to expand on-site sodium hypochlorite generation (OSHG) capacity at the Santan Vista Water Treatment Plant in Gilbert, AZ. The plant currently uses two such units to help provide the highest quality of drinking water to more than 100,000 residents of that town and the city of Chandler. OSHG systems generate 0.8-percent sodium hypochlorite disinfection solution, using salt, water and electricity. They are engineered to meet any specified application, with units ranging in capacity from six lbs (2.7 kg) per day to over 3,000 lbs (1,360 kg) per day.
