Jim Goeke, best known for his expertise on Nebraska’s groundwater, was recently elected to The Groundwater Foundation’s Board of Directors. He spent over 40 years with the University of Nebraska and became one of the state’s foremost experts on groundwater. Goeke’s main research interests as part of the University’s Conservation and Survey Division focused on groundwater and groundwater management. He’s long been active in education and outreach, and has given countless presentations about groundwater to schools and community groups throughout Nebraska. Goeke was part of the founding of The Groundwater Foundation in 1985.
