The Water Quality Association (WQA) has issued a call for speakers for its 2018 Convention & Exposition scheduled for March 26-29, 2018 in Denver, CO. Potential speakers are invited to submit proposals on technical topics such as emerging contaminants, regulatory matters and water-related legislative issues, as well as for topics on small business operations, business ethics and leadership and performance management.WQA’s 2017 National Study of Consumer Opinions & Perceptions Regarding Water Quality found that consumers place a high value on professional education and certification. While original works are strongly encouraged for the presentations, topics modified from materials previously presented at other venues may be submitted. Manufacturers with products on the market must be registered exhibitors to participate in presentations. Preference is given to WQA members. All technical educational presentations must avoid reference to specific manufacturers and brands; commercial messages are inappropriate and will not be accepted. Proposals for presentations must include title, abstract, presenter information, session type and time required for presentation. They should be submitted online (www.wqa.org/convention/presentations) through June 30. Proposals will be accepted on a rolling basis and in the order in which they are received. Schedule space is limited.
