Kenneth Anthony Schmidt of Clarendon Hills, IL, was born August 20, 1937 in Chicago and passed away peacefully on April 8, surrounded by family. He and his beautiful bride Melissa Murray wed in 1960. Schmidt was an executive at Culligan International for many years, earning multiple patents to his credit that changed the water conditioning industry. He enjoyed golf, cards, dancing, volunteering at church and entertaining, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Schmidt was preceded in death by his wife Melissa, his parents, Arnold and Marie Schmidt and his brother Arnold Jr. He is survived by his sister Dorothy Singer; children, Kevin (Peggy), Melinda (Joe) Lennon and Tierney (Peter) Little and six grandchildren. A celebration of life was held at Notre Dame Parish, Clarendon Hills, IL, on April 22; followed by a Funeral Mass and entombment in the Notre Dame Church Columbarium.
