WQA recently applauded Arizona for its Water Softener Sustainability Professional Certification Program. More than 60 industry professionals have attended a unique, four-hour Arizona Water Quality Association (AWQA) course to learn best practices to help reduce salinity in Arizona’s water. The first-of-its kind training program for salesmen, installers and service technicians is based on best practices for sizing, installing, programming, servicing and use of water softeners. Developed in collaboration with WQA and funded by the Arizona Department of Water Resources, the WSSP-A certification is designed to increase water softener efficiency and decrease the amount of salinity entering the sewer system. Registration is now open for the 2016 WQA Leadership Conference registration. The event will be held at the Hyatt Regency Newport in Newport, RI, August 30-September 1.
