FilterCor’s filters, manufactured in the US for over 20 years, provide increased surface area, lower pressure drop and longer service life. Pleated filters are manufactured in polypropylene for wider chemical compatibility and industrial use; polyester for water applications and reusability and cellulose media for economical uses. Pleated filters are available in all standard sizes. Custom dimensions are welcome. The company’s latest pleated-design filter gives it a very high surface area for excellent flow and dirt-holding capacity with minimal pressure loss.
The pleated carbon filter is constructed of non-cellulose, carbon-impregnated media, therefore providing resistance to bacterial attack. An ideal cartridge for non-chlorinated water supplies in which sediment reduction is the primary purpose of the filter, where taste/odor/chlorine reduction is desired.

Engineered skid systems
Blue-White Industries introduces the tough and efficient CHEM-FEED® dual-pump engineered skid systems. They are well suited for use in municipal water and wastewater treatment applications when paired with the company’s ProSeries-M® line of peristaltic metering pumps. These systems are designed and engineered using solid modeling tools for superior piping installation and easy component maintenance. Custom-engineered universal mounting blocks and pre-machined mounting slot provide for easy component servicing and replacement. Units are lightweight for wall or floor mounting and skids are constructed of 6061-T6 powder-coated, welded aluminum. Additional features include an exclusive flow indicator that visually indicates pump is delivering solution; self-filling calibration cylinder (flooded suction not required); proven components; Plast-O-Matic® ball valves; pressure relief valve that protects the system from over-pressurization; gauge guards; a metal-free check valve that protects operators from back-flow during maintenance and a drip containment tray, removable for easy cleaning. Each unit is factory built and rigorously tested.

PT-500 submersible pressure transducers from Automation Products Group, Inc. are now available with additional output, cabling, cage, vent cap and installation options. In addition to a 4-20 mA output, the PT-500 is now available with Modbus, as well as 0-5 VDC and mV/V, which enables users to select the output that fits their needs. Additionally, a new Hytrel cable option gives users the ability to use a submersible pressure sensor in the most challenging environments. For users who wish to lower the sensor into the tank, a strain relief can be provided on the back of the sensor, while the unit can be configured with a 0.5-inch (12.7-mm) NPT male conduit thread on the end of the sensor for those who prefer to use conduit to install the sensor. The PT-500 is built with highly durable laser welds, includes temperature compensation, comes with a Class 1 Division 1 intrinsically safe certification and features integrated lightning protection.

SnowPure introduces its DemandPure™ EDI systems for sale to dealers and OEMs for commercial and light-industrial uses. The systems range from 1-7.5 gpm (200-1,700 L/ph), aimed at small-equipment dealers for replacing exchange DI. These systems are pre-engineered and pre-assembled. Advantages over bottled DI include elimination of trucking and labor expense of exchange, provide dealer income without chemical regeneration expense and reduce the number of disruptive visits to customer sites. The systems may be leased to customers, creating recurring revenue.
