Osborn named to Water-Right team
Water-Right, Inc. announced the addition of Kevin Osborn as Regional Sales Manager for the New England region. He will be responsible for providing sales and technical services training, program guidance and day-to-day general business needs for existing customers. Prior to joining Water-Right, Osborn held many positions in the industry, including Manufacturing Engineer and Technical Support Specialist. Most recently, he was the National Sales Manager for Layne Christensen’s commercial division. Osborn has over 11 years of experience in the water treatment industry and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
CHM2 Hill Manager honored
Ryan Rhoades, CH2M HILL Principal Project Manager based in Phoenix, AZ, has received the Top 20 Under 40 Award from Engineering News Record Southwest. As judged by a panel of industry experts, this prestigious recognition identifies him as one of the sharpest, most forward-looking young leaders in the US Southwest. Rhoades received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from South Dakota State University in 1998 and started his career as a resident inspector and field surveyor with the Departments of Transportation in South Dakota and North Carolina. He became Operations Lead for the CH2M HILL Water Business Group in Phoenix in 2009 and is an active member of the Arizona Water Association, American Water Works Association and Construction Management Association of America. Rhoades also serves as Chair of the Arizona Water Association 2014 conference planning committee.
Amor appointed as KMS Sales Manager
Koch Membrane Systems (KMS) announced that Matias Amor has joined the company as Regional Sales Manager, Water and Wastewater for Spain and Portugal. He will be responsible for increasing KMS’ commercial growth in this region and developing strong relationships with major multinational contractors and engineers working abroad. Amor comes to KMS with more than 19 years of experience in water and wastewater, including 15 years working with membranes both in the municipal and industrial sectors. He has held positions at ITT, GE Water and Process Technology Spain and UTS and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry from Complutense University of Madrid. Industry mourns loss of Purolite’s Schreiber
WC&P has received the sad news that prominent industry veteran Gary George Schreiber died in January. He was born on November 27, 1938 in Wagner, SD, to George and Mildred (Halter) Schreiber. While in high school, Schreiber completed ROTC, enlisted in the US Army and served in Korea. Although he started his water treatment career with Culligan International, he spent the last 19 years as a Sales Manager with Purolite. One of the most highly respected international water specialists in the industry, Schreiber was an important and consistent part of Purolite’s success in the Midwest. He was well known and respected throughout the country for his knowledge and dedication to the Culligan dealer network and other OEMs. Schreiber supported his customer base with 24/7 availability and a tremendous attention to detail. Survivors include his wife, Gloria; mother Mildred Schreiber; children Scott (Lorie) Schreiber, Sue (Dan) Young, Tod (Anna) Schreiber, Jason (Kristen) Schreiber, Jennifer (Steve) Cole and Joe Schreiber (Jeff Clune); sisters Sandy Bicker and Marsha (Bill) Aiken; brothers Michael (Mary) Schreiber and Bob (Dina) Schreiber; 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Schreiber was preceded in death by his father George and great-grandson Dominic. Funeral services were held January 22 in Albert Lea, MN.
