WaterGroup Sales Director, Manager announced
NSF International Strategic Registrations, Ltd. (NSF-ISR), a division of NSF International, appointed Fred Wenke as Managing Director of the newly established NSF Deutschland GmbH office. A global environmental and management systems expert, he also will serve as Regional Director of Management System Registration (ISO) and Sustainability services, providing regional support for NSF’s existing customer base in Europe. Wenke has a proven track record in growing business in Europe and the Middle East and 25 years of experience in environmental engineering, quality management and health, safety and environmental (HSE) management systems. Prior to joining NSF, Wenke served as Manager for Sustainability Business Development for DQS GmbH, Frankfurt, and also served as product manager for ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety) worldwide for DQS. Wenke is a lead auditor and trainer for ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems), ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. He is a member of the German Association for Standardization’s (DIN) mirror committees to help develop international standards.

MIOX Corporation announced that Cem Candir has joined the company as Director of Business Development. In this position, he will be implementing the company’s aggressive growth strategy by expanding and developing sales channels and partnerships, focusing on international business growth. He will play a pivotal role in new product commercialization. Previously, Candir was Director of Production, Sales and Inventory at at GE Power & Water, where he was also responsible for business development of contract manufacturing of chemicals. He holds a BS Degree in mechanical engineering from Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey and an MBA with dual concentration in marketing and strategic management from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management.
B&H Labeling Systems announced the promotion of Rodrigo Melo to the position of Assistant Global Field Service Manager. He assumed responsibility for managing the day-to-day activities of B&H’s field service engineers around the world. Prior to this promotion, Melo was Mexico Field Service Manager and a Field Service Engineer with B&H Labeling Mexico. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical and electrical engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana.
WQA governors and directors named at Aquatech
At the annual board meeting, WQA elected its Board of Governors: Dar Watts, Richard Mest, Douglas ‘Sam’ Karge, Bret Tangley and David Hawkins as well as At-large Governor Don McGhee and Past President Denise Urbans. New Directors include Gil Gibson (DS Waters), Cindy Gresham (Thermax, Inc.), Douglas M. Horner (ENPRESS, LLC), Kelly Parks (Aqua-man Water Conditioning) and Michael Urbans (Res-Kem General Water). Retirement of Directors Eric Rosenthal, Tracy Strahl, M. Stanly Fauth, Paul Moorman and Denise Urbans was also announced. Gary Hatch, Ph.D. announced his retirement as Chair of the Water Sciences Committee.
