WaterGroup Sales Director, Manager announced
Brian Mills will become the WaterGroup named Brian Mills Canadian Sales Director, responsible for driving revenue growth throughout Canada. He will utilize his valuable understanding of the industry and the regulations required for water treatment his sales approach. Mills brings a strong background in water treatment sales, service and marketing from his most recent role as sales manager and prior experience running his own water treatment company. 
Jamie Buczynski has been promoted to Southwestern Ontario District Sales Manager, responsible for increasing sales with plumbing wholesalers, training and field application customer service. He brings a strong background in water treatment sales and service from his 14 years with WaterGroup working with installers and technicians, both on the technical order desk and in the field.
NSF appoints German director
NSF International Strategic Registrations, Ltd. (NSF-ISR), a division of NSF International, appointed Fred Wenke as Managing Director of the newly established NSF Deutschland GmbH office. A global environmental and management systems expert, he also will serve as Regional Director of Management System Registration (ISO) and Sustainability services, providing regional support for NSF’s existing customer base in Europe. Wenke has a proven track record in growing business in Europe and the Middle East and 25 years of experience in environmental engineering, quality management and health, safety and environmental (HSE) management systems. Prior to joining NSF, Wenke served as Manager for Sustainability Business Development for DQS GmbH, Frankfurt, and also served as product manager for ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety) worldwide for DQS. Wenke is a lead auditor and trainer for ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems), ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. He is a member of the German Association for Standardization’s (DIN) mirror committees to help develop international standards.
PMI committee chairs named
Plumbing Manufacturers International’s (PMI) President, Stewart Yang of Kohler Co., has made his selections for two chairs to serve on PMI’s Focus and Standing Committees. The three-year terms for these positions officially begin with the 2012 PMI Spring Conference, April 1-4 in Rohnert Park, CA. The Marketing Council will again be co-chaired by 
Rick Reles, VP of kitchens, cast iron and corporate accounts worldwide for Kohler Co., who is back for a second term. Reles will serve alongside current co-Chair Tim Doyle of Amerikam. The Government Affairs Standing Committee will be co-chaired by 
Daniel Gleiberman, Manager of Product Compliance and Government Affairs for Sloan Valve Company. Gleiberman will co-chair the committee with David MacNair of InSinkErator.
Subramanian named KMS Commercial Manager
Koch Membrane Systems (KMS) has hired Ravichandran Subramanian as Regional Commercial Manager. He will be responsible for developing the markets for all KMS products in Southeast Asia for both the Water & Wastewater and the Industrial & Life Sciences divisions of the company. Subramanian has more than 15 years of industry experience in sales, management and product management. His previous positions include General Manager positions at Keppel Integrated Engineering and EES Technology Pte. Ltd., Singapore as well as Account Manager and Large Projects Coordinator for Dow Chemical Pacific Singapore. Subramanian holds a Master’s Degree in chemical engineering from Tennessee Technological University and an MBA from Nanyang Business School, NTU. Candir named Business Development Manager
MIOX Corporation announced that Cem Candir has joined the company as Director of Business Development. In this position, he will be implementing the company’s aggressive growth strategy by expanding and developing sales channels and partnerships, focusing on international business growth. He will play a pivotal role in new product commercialization. Previously, Candir was Director of Production, Sales and Inventory at at GE Power & Water, where he was also responsible for business development of contract manufacturing of chemicals. He holds a BS Degree in mechanical engineering from Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey and an MBA with dual concentration in marketing and strategic management from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management.
Melo promoted at B&H
B&H Labeling Systems announced the promotion of Rodrigo Melo to the position of Assistant Global Field Service Manager. He assumed responsibility for managing the day-to-day activities of B&H’s field service engineers around the world. Prior to this promotion, Melo was Mexico Field Service Manager and a Field Service Engineer with B&H Labeling Mexico. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical and electrical engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana.
WQA governors and directors named at Aquatech
At the annual board meeting, WQA elected its Board of Governors: Dar Watts, Richard Mest, Douglas ‘Sam’ Karge, Bret Tangley and David Hawkins as well as At-large Governor Don McGhee and Past President Denise Urbans. New Directors include Gil Gibson (DS Waters), Cindy Gresham (Thermax, Inc.), Douglas M. Horner (ENPRESS, LLC), Kelly Parks (Aqua-man Water Conditioning) and Michael Urbans (Res-Kem General Water). Retirement of Directors Eric Rosenthal, Tracy Strahl, M. Stanly Fauth, Paul Moorman and Denise Urbans was also announced. Gary Hatch, Ph.D. announced his retirement as Chair of the Water Sciences Committee.
